Our Prayer Request is for the HEALING of Our Nation, during this CORONAVIRUS CRISIS...And we Pray that all our Love Ones are Spared, & in his Good Grace AMEN

Pastor, March 17, 2020 - 6:13 pm

Sovereign Lord, we bow low before you in this time of uncertainty. Be present with your strong comfort among those most directly affected by this virus, and in your mercy bring them healing and recovery. Use this to make us as a nation deeply aware of our total dependence on you. Give us courage to face whatever the future holds, knowing that it-and we- are in your hands. Amen

  • Bible information class is offered over video chat. Get through the whole class in 10 days. Contact pastor.
  • Prayers are needed those affected by COVID19
      • Wanda who is feeling ill and being tested for COVID,
      • Tabitha, Bridget and her daughter, Celeste who had the virus and are now recovering from it. Thankfully they are doing well.
      • Nathan Zeller – relative of the Mckinneys will start Air Force Boot Camp, but is in quarantine for as precaution.
  • Worship on Sunday- 41 signed in with connect cards. I know there were a few more tuning in too. Be sure to fill those out every week so we know who is joining us.
  • Unfortunately, the quarantine will not be over by Easter, the council has decided that we will celebrate in some way over the internet (if you have input give me a call), but whenever the quarantine ends we will celebrate it again together in worship!
  • This last Sunday would have been the crawfish boil :.( Hey, it’s another reminder that when we get to see one another next, a big celebration is due! I’m praying it’s not too late for crawfish.

City updates

  • The Governor and Mayor want to impress the importance of Social Distancing. Those not practicing it or staying home except for necessary needs (Doctor, grocery, medication) become a risk to themselves and others.
      • A second line parade was busted for forming during restrictions and face charges.
  • COVID numbers: 4,025 positive cases and 185 dead
  • The convention center is being prepared as an overflow site for those with the virus. You cannot report there. If you are feeling ill go to the testing centers or a hospital.

Offerings and giving are an expression of the great love we have in Christ. Support Crown of Life’s at this unique time.

Update

The short of it- with Covid-19 ramping up in our community please keep in mind:

  • Services and Sunday School at Crown of Life will continue as normal.
  • The Mayor has asked organizations to be extra vigilant. Because the virus spreads easily we will take extra precautions:
      • CDC Precautions
      • Be sure to wash your hands frequently (20 seconds – sing “Happy Birthday” twice, or ABC’s slowly)
      • Keep your distance- Avoid handshakes and unnecessary contact
      • If you aren’t feeling well, or have compromised immune system- stay home
          • We will Facebook Live our service as we normally do.

More information concerning upcoming events will be announced soon!

We proceed with caution, but do so recognizing there is something so valuable we have as Christians. Psalm 91:1–2 “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, β€œHe is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” In faith we see God’s shadow hovering over us, a reminder that we are never abandoned or forgotten. However this plays out, it’s an opportunity to reflect the confidence of love in it’s fullest form has already been given to us. He cares for me in such a good way that it works life forever.
Let’s pray that God keep us and our city/nation/world in his compassionate loving arms.

God’s Peace
